With all these acronyms the "Fundamentals for Teaching ESL" course is starting to feel like the learning another language in itself!
Within the first few reading assignments the following are a sample of what has appeared:
ESL, L1, L2, ELF, TESOL, EFL, NEST, NNEST, LSP, BICS, CALP, IEP, ESP, EAP
(I'm sure I've missed a few).

A course peer (thanks Selena!) shared the following hyperlink to the "Internet TESL Journal" on acronyms.
http://iteslj.org/acronyms.html
It is broken down into categories of:
- most frequently used (with some associations/orgs also listed)
- commonly used
- others related to TESL
