The following details a discussion response to a course assignment relating to the notion of how adults notice or acquire language.
Hello all,
I filled in the chart from our course notes based on what I think helps identify the key differences between each. I've added a number of tasks that involve some kind of conscious study under the "noticing" tab and then included tasks that involve some kind of learning through communication under the acquiring tab.
I really struggled to understand these concepts and the whole theme of "consciousness". I had to read and re-read several of the articles. Did anyone else struggle with this?
