Blog reflection: Google Docs - excellent collaboration tool for written / visual projects
Blog reflection: Google Docs - excellent collaboration tool for written / visual projects
We have been asked to use Google Docs as a medium for collaboration on a Learner Analysis. I have only had limited exposure to this program however, I found it easy to navigate and a powerful collaboration tool.
In a short time, I was able to add my own written document from Microsoft Word to Google Drive and then post it for viewing and feedback by my classmates. I discovered that we can each access the document online and view, comment, or fully edit (based on the author's selected permission rights) so that the work becomes a "living" group document.
Working across different online technologies can be cumbersome. Not so with the Google Docs. To make it easy for others in my university course to view my work, Google has a "link" function whereby you can generate a unique hyperlink, copy it, and then paste it into a comments section or email for others to map directly to your referenced work. Very easy! Thank you Google Docs.
