Reflection: Technology can sometimes frustrate learning
I've had some challenges using the University of Manitoba's online learning system "UmLearn" and have also spent excessive time creating, registering and learning about online / social media applications. While some of these are mandatory and others are optional, it has been a frustrating experience. Long periods of time tinkering with the tech has distracted from the ESL content I had hoped to be focussed on.
I consider myself to be someone open to change however, struggles with the tech side of this online experience has (for the time being) deflated my joy of learning.
I've resolved to continue with the course and focus on the more positive aspects which include the experienced instructor, excellent textbook, and interesting peers.
