I have set up my account on Tutela and will have to continue exploring this as a social networking tool. We had some challenges getting our class together for this application but I was able to generate and use SKYPE to be able to test communicating over the internet with friends. I can see this being useful for not only face to face discussion but being able to show graphs/charts visually on the wall behind you.
I have used some group chat networking in the past and one of the challenges with it was internet connections and having someone in the group more versed (able to facilitate the discussion or help with other technical difficulties - for example, volume etc.)
